Dr. Feinstein WILL be accepting a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at RFUMS for the 2026/2027 academic year. He is also available to mentor students on the research track of the Clinical Counseling MS program. In general, Dr. Feinstein is looking to recruit students who are excited about research, creative, collaborative, and passionate about health equity. Information about diversity, equity, and inclusion opportunities within the department can be found here, and tips for putting together a strong application can be found here.

Current and recent projects in the lab focus on (1) bi+ health and relationships, (2) LGBTQ+ adolescent depression and suicide, and (3) tobacco product use in LGBTQ+ populations. Newer interests include (4) OCD in LGBTQ+ populations, (5) Interventions to reduce prejudice against bi+ populations, and (6) Asexual minority stress and health. Dr. Feinstein is able to support students with interests in these areas. If you are interested in a different research area, you can contact him to ask about fit.

As a postdoctoral fellow...

Dr. Feinstein is available to serve as a sponsor/co-sponsor on mentored postdoctoral research fellowships (e.g., NIH F32 awards).
